Plans

Z

This picture exemplifies what God thinks about our plans, and when we tell Him what we’re going to do

Being serious for a moment, when we try to fix our situation or problem, He is probably up there laughing at us saying Now, how she going to tell Me what’s best for her? I created her long before she even knew who she was!

I know, according to what I’ve experienced, He’s the only One that makes real plans for us… Our plans are temporary fixes to what we think we need and want. As I said, temporary. We fix things in our life according to how we feel, what mood we are in, what somebody did to us… and so on.

But this is what the Word says about making plans (New Living Translation (NLT) version) …

Deut. 31:6 “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic… For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Job 23:14  “ So He will do to me whatever He has planned. He controls my destiny.”

Proverbs 16:9 “ We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”

Proverbs 19:21 “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.”

Psalm 37:23 “The Lord directs the steps of the godly…”

Proverbs 20:24 “The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?”

John 13:7 “Jesus replied, ‘You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.’”

Get the picture?

Just like human nature we say, well I am going to take matters into my own hands! But yet, we sing in worship I surrender all, withholding nothing! Oxymoron maybe?

He knows best what we need! Maybe not at the time, when He answers our prayers with an absolute “No”, but we have to trust His decision. I’ve heard before, when you are living by Kingdom principles, timing is everything! You can’t be too slow with anything, and you can’t hurry destiny either. God puts our blessings in the exact moment in time we need them. And…. God sometimes allows attacks for the development for our own well being, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a part of His divine plan for us! When we try to fix our own problems, what God didn’t tell you to do, it delays God’s promise, but be encouraged that His promise is still on the way to you. You just delayed the process!

When we don’t get the job we been praying for, we have to be content that was His will for us. When our friendships and relationships end we have to be content that was His will for us. When we lose a loved one by death we have to be content that was His will for us. And on the turnaround, when we get that promotion or raise we have to be content that was His will for us. When we get offered the job we have to be content that was His will for us. When we are delivered from past sin we have to be content that was His will for us. His will prevails every time!

How to discern what God’s plans and will is for you? By being prayerful and watchful. Thank Him for His goodness. Repent of anything that is not like Him in your life and ask Him to bring all the ugliness out that may hinder your ability to hear. Ask for His true Holy Spirit to speak to you daily in regards to your purpose, ask for wisdom and clarity. Listen for Him to speak or show you. Guard your heart and the junk that can enter. Thank Him again. Watch Him work in your life. And before long… you will see the different manifestations of Him and revelation. Proverbs 3:6 “Seek Gods Will in all you do, and He will show you the path to take.”
